Unlocking What You're Truly Capable Of
The Icing on the Cake: Your People If the outdoors teaches resilience, the people you share it with teach you something equally important: belonging. I've had the privilege of working with many many clients over nearly three decades, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Project Active Tribe is something special. The people who show up for these adventures—they're the most friendly, supportive, and genuinely funny people you could spend a few days with. This matters more than you might think. Mental resilience isn't built in isolation. Yes, it requires personal grit and determination. It's amplified, sustained, and made meaningful when it's shared. When you're struggling up a hill and someone behind you cracks a joke that makes you laugh despite your burning legs. When you're sitting in a tent, exhausted and uncomfortable, and the person next to you shares a story that reminds you why you're here. When you finish something difficult and the first thing you see is genuine celebration from people who understand exactly what it took. That's when resilience transforms from a personal achievement into something communal. Something that bonds people together. The friendships formed on these adventures aren't superficial. They're forged in genuine challenge, in vulnerability, in shared discomfort and shared triumph. People see each other at their most real—tired, uncertain, pushing beyond their limits—and they respond with encouragement, humour, and authentic connection. That's rare. That's valuable. That's when they forget about work and remember who they are beneath the job title.
The Role of Coaching I want to be clear about something: this transformation doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of three things when working together
Encouragement creates safety. It tells you that it's okay to try, to struggle, to fail, to keep going. It's the voice that says "you can do this" when your own voice is uncertain. The right coaching provides direction. It's not about pushing you harder; it's about helping you understand yourself better. It's about identifying where you're capable of more, where you need support, where your actual limits are versus the limits you've imagined. Good coaching meets you where you are and helps you move forward from there. Genuine motivation. The fuel - It's the reason you're doing this in the first place. Not because someone told you to, but because you genuinely want to discover what you're capable of. You're tired of playing small. You know, somewhere deep down, that there's more to you than you've been living. When those elements align—that's when people transform. That's when they discover they can complete a challenging hike. That's when they realise they can manage discomfort.
The mountains are waiting, The people are waiting, There is no better time than NOW Somewhere inside you, the version of yourself that's stronger, more resilient, and more alive than you've allowed yourself to be—that person is waiting too. It's time to unlock what you're capable of. It's time to discover that mental resilience isn't something you're born with; it's something you build. The best place to build it? The outdoors, with people who genuinely believe in you, and coaching that actually works. Welcome to Project Active Are you joining us in 2027? Please send me an email to register your interest. My husband suggested this trip and, to be honest, I didn’t give it a huge amount of thought beforehand. My 5-day trip through the Norwegian fjords was honestly one of the most grounding and refreshing experiences I’ve ever had.
