A very warm welcome to the Project Active MTB section, Please let me take this opportunity to explain more about our mountain bike group.
We are a small group of like-minded minded individuals who want to get outside on the mountain bike, hit the trails and have a lot of fun while we do it! We do not take ourselves too seriously but we are there to get a workout and to get wet and muddy wherever possible. Our group is extremely friendly, supportive and each of us will help you to progress.
We ride on Tuesday nights from The George and Dragon pub in Long Hanborough, West Oxfordshire with a start time 1830. We ride for about 90 mins and will group riders according to fitness and ability.
We then return to the pub for a pint and bite to eat post ride.
All we ask is that you come along to offer your support and sense of humour to the group and please leave your ego at home.
PLEASE DO NOT JUST TURN UP AND EXPECT TO RIDE, PLACES MUST CONFIRMED WITH BEN.
Once you join you will added to what's app group which is where we organise, discuss and plan as a group the next challenge we want to do.
We also a very active calendar in regards to days out to such places as -
A working MTB (If you don't, we have a great relationship with Long Hanborough Cycle Shop).
A helmet
A Spare inner tube(s)
A pump
Multitool
All riders must have an emergency contact on them - either the ICE function on your phone or a written piece of paper in a top bag pocket, jersey rear pocket and someone else in the group must know where this is kept.

You must have a enough kit on you to fix most trail problems, others in the group will help you on the mechanical front but please don't rely on others for replacement parts.
Cost
If are new to us then we want you to get a true feel about who and what we are about - We would like to offer the first 4 weeks from your first visit complimentary to you so we can discuss and any concerns, issues and questions you may have.
The annual fee of £60.00 which covers the date from 1st May 2021-30st April.
Should you wish to join later on in the year the fee will be pro-rata accordingly
