Paddleboarding can be a great stress reliever due to the sedative nature of the water around you and the ability to make the action all about you. Due to the very nature of it can be as physical or as peaceful as you want to make it all while enjoying the beauty of the river bank and view around it.

Sports Coaching

The United Kingdom Coaching Strategy describes the role of the sports coach as one that “enables the athlete to achieve levels of performance to the degree that may not have been possible if left to his/her own endeavours“. In observing and analysing, break the action down into phases, focus on one phase at a time, observe the action several times from various angles & distances, compare the action with your technical model and, if appropriate, determine what corrective action is required. Remember, your ears can also be used to observe – e.g. listen to the rhythm of the feet of the hurdler. Coaches work with another person or a group of people and develop them as people using sport to progress them in their development. All coaches have certain responsibilities towards performers, their sport, their profession and themselves.

Tuesday Morning Walk & Talk Group

All of us have had to learn to cope with the new challenges that COVID-19 has brought us in the last few months, and for many of us, the virus is pervasive and causing feelings of uncertainty. Although a few of us are now working from home, you may now have realised that it is not all you thought it would be and you have started to be cocooned in your home.

The Walk & Talk Group on offer from Project Active is quite simply getting people together in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Park, meet new people and actually talk face to face rather than through a gadget.
